About the Role
Culmen International is hiring a Project Supervisor/Trainer to provide support for the Defense Logistics Agency.
In support of DLA's mission, DLA Distribution is a combat support organization providing a single, unified material distribution system for DoD under DLA management. The DLA Distribution mission is to provide an integrated pipeline that sustains our Armed Forces around the world with innovative and tailored logistics services that are ever improving in terms of cost, timeliness, and relative value. The DLA Distribution vision is to provide best value, competitive distribution services to the war fighter around the world, around the clock. DLA Distribution responsibilities include receipt, storage, issue, packaging, and worldwide transportation of all items placed under its accountability by the DLA and the military services. DLA Distribution also performs distribution services that are unique to a particular customer.
What You'll Do in Your New Role
Will have successfully completed all Government-Furnished and Contractor-Furnished training, and provide training to Contractor employees and other personnel, as required, in a train-the-trainer environment
- Trainer/Project Supervisor will conduct and coordinate training activities with the TPOC, COR, KO or designee and will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and evaluating training requirements; arrange classes;
- updating training programs to keep current with new techniques;
- plans, organizes, and coordinates the execution of training programs;
- communicates orally clearly and succinctly with employees in face-to-face one-on-one settings, in group settings;
- instructs others in a classroom setting and at the work site;
- remains in a standing position for extended periods of time when instructing classes;
- uses graphic instruction such as drawings, layouts, or other visual aids
Required Qualifications
- Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance
- Bachelors degree in training and development
- Knowledge in DLA Distribution systems in preferred
- Shall possess the basic knowledge and skills required to plan, control, manage, and be responsible for the successful completion of the project and shall be qualified to be the Contractor's on-site supervisor and POC for government representatives as needed
- The Trainer/Project Supervisor shall have the ability to deploy globally in support of emerging requirements, within 48 hours of notification
