Job summary

North American Family Institute (NAFI) is seeking a Project Supervisor to provide clinical and administrative leadership for TBRI and CPP services in Florida. You will supervise teams, review referrals, and ensure high-quality trauma-informed care for children and families.

The role requires Florida licensure (LCSW/LMHC/LMFT) and a Master’s degree in a related field, with experience in child welfare or behavioral health.

Qualifications

  • Current Florida licensure as LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT.
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Human Services, or related field.
  • Experience in child welfare, foster care, behavioral health, or related services.
  • Clinical supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid documentation, billing, and service requirements.
  • Ability to complete required TBRI and CPP trainings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision to the TBRI and CPP teams.
  • Review incoming referrals and oversee assignment and coordination of services.
  • Provide clinical supervision and case consultation to CPP clinicians.
  • Review and approve treatment plans and biopsychosocial assessments as required.
  • Provide oversight of Medicaid documentation, service requirements, and billing processes.
  • Monitor clinical documentation for quality, timeliness, medical necessity, and compliance.
  • Oversee documentation and data entry within Evolv, FSFN/CWISS, and other systems.
  • Conduct regular case reviews with staff and monitor service delivery and family outcomes.
  • Shadow employees during home, community, and other service visits to support quality and professional development.
  • Complete employee evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
  • Oversee staff training requirements and ensure training completion within timeframes.
  • Participate in TBRI Core Training and maintain training for delivery of TBRI Core Training curriculum.
  • Maintain training and competency for CPP services delivery and supervision.
  • Serve as liaison between NAFI Florida and Heartland for Children.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with referral providers and community partners.
  • Participate in foster parent, child welfare, and behavioral health meetings.
  • Oversee interns assigned to NAFI Florida and coordinate supervision and learning opportunities.
  • Provide support and coverage for other NAFI Florida supervisors when needed.
  • Be available for after-hours emergency consultation as required.
  • Perform all responsibilities in accordance with NAFI policies and regulatory standards.

Job description

North American Family Institute (NAFI) is hiring a full-time Project Supervisor to provide clinical and administrative leadership for our Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) and Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) services. This position works closely with NAFI Florida leadership, Heartland for Children, clinicians, caregivers, child welfare professionals, behavioral health providers, and community partners to ensure high-quality, trauma-informed services for children and families.

The Project Supervisor will oversee TBRI education, coaching, and caregiver support services designed to strengthen caregiver skills, promote placement stability, and prevent placement disruptions. The position will also supervise CPP clinicians providing relationship-based therapeutic services to young children and their parents or primary caregivers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision to the TBRI and CPP teams
  • Review incoming referrals and oversee appropriate assignment and coordination of services
  • Provide clinical supervision and case consultation to CPP clinicians
  • Review and approve treatment plans and biopsychosocial assessments as required
  • Provide oversight of Medicaid documentation, service requirements, and billing processes
  • Monitor clinical documentation for quality, timeliness, medical necessity, and compliance
  • Oversee required documentation and data entry within Evolv, FSFN/CWISS, and other applicable systems
  • Conduct regular case reviews with staff and monitor service delivery and family outcomes

  • Serve as a primary liaison between NAFI Florida and Heartland for Children (HFC)
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with referral providers and regularly meet with community partners
  • Participate in foster parent, child welfare, behavioral health, and other community meetings
  • Oversee interns assigned to NAFI Florida and coordinate appropriate supervision and learning opportunities
  • Provide support and coverage for other NAFI Florida supervisors when needed
  • Be available for after-hours emergency consultation as required
  • Perform all responsibilities in accordance with NAFI policies, procedures, contractual requirements, and applicable regulatory standards
  • Complete other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Current Florida licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Human Services, Child Development, or a related behavioral health field
  • Experience working in child welfare, foster care, behavioral health, family support, or related services
  • Knowledge and experience with Medicaid documentation, billing, and service requirements
  • Clinical supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Experience providing clinical review of treatment plans and biopsychosocial assessments
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and evidence-based or evidence-informed practices
  • Experience supporting foster, adoptive, kinship, biological, and other caregiver families preferred
  • Experience facilitating training and coaching families preferred
  • Ability and willingness to complete required TBRI Practitioner certification, including required travel
  • Ability and willingness to complete applicable Child-Parent Psychotherapy training and consultation requirements
  • Strong clinical judgment, crisis intervention, communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple programs, employees, priorities, and deadlines
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with NAFI leadership and community partners
  • Flexible schedule, including availability for some evening hours and after-hours emergency consultation
  • Valid Florida driver’s license, acceptable driving record, reliable transportation, and required automobile insurance
  • Background screening and proof of highest education level are required prior to hire
