Project Superintendent / Sr. Project Superintendent - Water/Wastewater Construction
Locations: Multiple Locations
Compensation: $130,000-$170,000 Base Salary + Bonus (DOE)
We are partnering with a leading construction organization to identify a Project Superintendent or Senior Project Superintendent with experience managing water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This individual will be responsible for leading all field operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day field operations on water and wastewater construction projects from groundbreaking through completion.
- Develop and manage short-term and long-term project schedules in coordination with project management teams.
- Supervise field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure production, quality, and safety goals are achieved.
- Coordinate site logistics, equipment, materials, and manpower planning.
- Conduct daily site walks and enforce safety standards, quality control measures, and productivity expectations.
- Facilitate subcontractor coordination meetings and ensure all trades are aligned with project schedules.
- Identify and proactively resolve field issues, conflicts, and schedule impacts.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to project management and leadership teams.
- Support inspections, testing, commissioning, punch list activities, and project closeout.
- Maintain strong relationships with owners, engineers, inspectors, and project stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of superintendent experience in heavy civil, utility, or water/wastewater construction; senior-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Water/wastewater construction experience is required.
- Proven success overseeing multimillion-dollar construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, safety, and quality control.
- Experience managing subcontractors, self-perform crews, and complex field operations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with construction management technology and Microsoft Office is preferred.
