Job summary

Johnson-Laux Construction is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to join our team at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. You will oversee day-to-day field operations, coordinating construction activities and working closely with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and trade partners to keep projects safe, organized, and on schedule.

• K-12, healthcare, and/or government construction experience preferred.
• Strong blueprint reading, building code knowledge, planning, scheduling, forecasting, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
• Organized, self-motivated, professional, and accountable with strong computer skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of the North Carolina construction market, valid driver?s license, good driving record, ability to pass a criminal background check, and excellent professional references.

Job description

Johnson-Laux Construction is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to join our team at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

We are a commercial General Contractor serving public and private clients across government, military, healthcare, education, aviation, hospitality, and commercial markets. Our projects include both new construction and renovations, providing the opportunity to work on a diverse range of commercial and government projects.

The Opportunity

The Project Superintendent will oversee day-to-day field operations, coordinating construction activities and working closely with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and trade partners to keep projects safe, organized, and on schedule.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience with a General Contractor, including both renovation and new construction
• K-12, healthcare, and/or government construction experience preferred
• Strong blueprint reading, building code knowledge, planning, scheduling, forecasting, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and trade partners
• Organized, self-motivated, professional, and accountable, with strong computer skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of the North Carolina construction market, valid driver's license, good driving record, ability to pass a criminal background check, and excellent professional references

Preferred: Experience with IDIQ, JOC, MACC, MATOC, or other continuing-service contracts, particularly government or military projects. Experience managing projects at Fort Bragg is a plus.
