Wurzel Builders, LTD. is seeking a Project Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial construction sites in the Houston area.
This on-site role requires coordinating daily activities, managing subcontractors, and ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence from start to finish. You will work with the Project Manager and Owner representatives, maintain documentation in the PMS, conduct weekly meetings, and uphold OSHA standards while delivering projects on time and within budget.

The Superintendent must schedule construction activities to ensure each assigned project is completed on schedule and constructed to the highest quality standard in accordance with plans and specs. They must manage construction activities to ensure all work is performed safely and within OSHA guidelines. They also must manage a relationship with the Owner to ensure communication is good and that their questions and concerns are addressed timely.
This is a full-time exempt position. Typical workdays and hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some weekend work may be required. The work location is on the jobsite.
This position reports to the General Superintendent or VP of Field Operations (depending on division)

Work is mostly performed in an outdoor setting. Work is required in the inspection of various land use developments, construction sites or public works facilities. Hand-eye coordination and the ability to see well, naturally or with correction, is necessary to operate drafting instruments, computers and various pieces of office equipment. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and the ability of pulling and pushing objects up to 50 pounds is required on a job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continually required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms for long periods of time. The employee is regularly required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and smell.
