Job summary

Clayco is seeking a Project Superintendent based in the Midwest to lead field operations and onsite construction management for high-level design-build projects nationwide. You will oversee mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection elements, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to budget and schedule.

This role requires strong leadership, the ability to coordinate across preconstruction, design, procurement, and operations teams, and a willingness to travel or relocate as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent trade experience.
• 3–15 years of experience in highly technical commercial/industrial construction management on projects of $50M+.
• Ability to supervise construction employees and subcontractors to meet budget and schedule constraints.
• Strong project safety record and commitment to safety and quality.
• Willingness to travel or relocate to jobsite.
• Creative and results-oriented with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to walk the job site, climb ladders, and multi-floor scaffolding.
• Ability to lift objects at least 60lbs.

Responsibilities

The Role We Want You For

As a Project Superintendent, you will be based in the Midwest, and will be responsible for field operations and onsite construction management of design-build construction projects, specifically quality control for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection, construction, start up, and testing on highly complex projects nationwide.

Requirements

• B.S. in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent trade experience with progression to management levels.
• 3-15 years of experience in highly technical commercial/industrial construction management, on projects of 50+ million, ideally with design-build experience.
• Ability to supervise construction employees and subcontractors to accomplish work within budget and schedule constraints.
• Strong project safety record and commitment to safety and quality.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to travel or relocate to jobsite.
• Creative and results-oriented with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to walk the job site, climb ladders, and multi floor scaffolding.
