Job summary

A leading construction firm in Missouri is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee all on-site construction activities. This role involves managing plumbing and MEP installations and coordinating subcontractors to ensure project goals are met. The ideal candidate should have over 5 years of experience in commercial construction, strong leadership capabilities, and a solid understanding of safety compliance. This position is critical to maintaining project schedules and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects.
• Strong background in MEP coordination and plumbing systems installation.
• Proven ability to manage complex mechanical rooms and utility systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilization through closeout.
• Oversee and coordinate MEP and plumbing systems installation.
• Manage subcontractors and self-perform crews to maintain schedule and productivity.

Job description

• Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilization through closeout
• Oversee and coordinate MEP and plumbing systems installation
• Manage subcontractors and self-perform crews to maintain schedule and productivity
• Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations
• Conduct daily site walks to monitor quality, workmanship, and sequencing
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems
• Identify and resolve field conflicts, design discrepancies, and constructability issues
• Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Owners to ensure project goals are met
• Maintain accurate daily reports, look-ahead schedules, and manpower tracking
• Drive schedule performance and hold trades accountable

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects
• Strong background in MEP coordination and plumbing systems installation
• Experience on at least one of the following project types:
  • Hotels / Resorts
  • Data Centers
  • Educational Institutions
  • Hospitality
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Proven ability to manage complex mechanical rooms and utility systems
• Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills
