Job summary

Engtal is seeking multiple Project Superintendents to lead on-site execution across the Cincinnati market. Projects range from $10M to $60M, including phased renovations and occupied-facility work, with support from a stable regional contractor.

This role offers a base salary of $105K-$145K+ plus bonus, profit sharing, and a vehicle allowance, with room to grow into broader field leadership as the team expands in Southwest Ohio.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Superintendent experience with a General Contractor or Construction Manager.
• Experience leading commercial construction projects independently as the primary on-site Superintendent.
• Background managing renovation, occupied-facility, institutional, healthcare, or public-sector projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site field operations from mobilization through turnover and closeout.
• Manage subcontractor sequencing, site logistics, quality control, and day-to-day execution.
• Drive project schedule performance through look-ahead planning and field coordination.
• Maintain safety standards and ensure compliance across trades and site activity.
• Coordinate work within occupied or sensitive project environments.
• Communicate between field and office with Project Management.
• Coordinate inspections and final project delivery.
• Resolve field conflicts to maintain schedule and production.
• Maintain relationships with owners, subs, design partners, and leadership.
• Mentor junior field staff as assigned.

About the Opportunity

Our client is a highly respected Central Ohio general contractor with a long-standing reputation for delivering complex commercial, institutional, healthcare, public, and industrial projects throughout the region.

With several upcoming projects secured across Southwest Ohio and plans to continue expanding its presence throughout the Cincinnati market, they're seeking multiple Project Superintendents to lead work across the surrounding region.

The initial pipeline includes projects ranging from approximately $10M to $60M, with a mix of phased renovations, occupied-facility work, major building-system upgrades, and larger public-sector construction.

This is an attractive opportunity for a Superintendent who wants the stability and resources of an established contractor while helping build the company's long-term presence in a growing market.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site field operations from mobilization through turnover and closeout
• Manage subcontractor sequencing, site logistics, quality control, and day-to-day jobsite execution
• Drive project schedule performance through look-ahead planning and proactive field coordination
• Maintain strong safety standards and ensure compliance across all trades and site activity
• Coordinate work within occupied, operational, or otherwise sensitive project environments
• Partner closely with Project Management to maintain clear communication between the field and office
• Coordinate inspections, owner walkthroughs, punch-list activity, and final project delivery
• Identify and resolve field conflicts early to maintain schedule and production
• Maintain strong relationships with owners, subcontractors, design partners, and internal leadership
• Mentor Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and developing field staff as assigned

Preferred Background

• 5+ years of Superintendent experience with a General Contractor or Construction Manager
• Experience leading commercial construction projects independently as the primary on-site Superintendent
• Background managing renovation, occupied-facility, institutional, healthcare, senior-living, corrections, public-sector, or technically complex projects strongly valued
• Experience with phased construction, MEP-intensive scopes, or projects requiring detailed logistics and coordination
• Proven ability to maintain organized, safe, and schedule-driven jobsites
• Strong subcontractor leadership and accountability
• Comfortable communicating directly with owners, facility representatives, design teams, and internal leadership
• Procore or similar construction-management software experience preferred
• Based in or within reasonable commuting distance of Cincinnati, Lebanon, Georgetown, Chillicothe, or the broader Southwest Ohio region
• Base salary: $105K-$145K+, depending on experience and project scope
