Job summary

RPM SPG is seeking a Project Superintendent to manage assigned commercial/industrial roofing projects in the Austin area. You will lead field crews and subcontractors to deliver on time and within budget, coordinating with owners and Tremco standards.

You will create and update schedules, supervise inspections, ensure quality control, and maintain safety in accordance with codes, Tremco policies, and project documents. Travel is required across the region as needed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in commercial/industrial built-up roofing or 5+ years as a foreman for BUR systems.
• Experience with single ply roofing systems and building constructions.
• Ability to maintain project records and interact with owners, subcontractors, and leadership.
• Proficient in project administration and ensuring compliance with specifications.

Responsibilities

• Manage field crews and subcontractors on commercial/industrial roofing projects to meet schedule and budget.
• Schedule and manage sub-contractors; create and update project schedules.
• Ensure quality control and schedule inspections; verify contract compliance.
• Coordinate between subcontractors and owner operations; resolve issues per Tremco standards.
• Generate status reports and maintain health and safety compliance; travel as needed.

JOB DESCRIPTION GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Project Superintendent is responsible for managing assigned special projects and customers. This involves working with other superintendents or Tech Reps assigned to the project to ensure delivery on time and within budget as well as managing all sub-contractors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage field crews and subcontractors with a proven track record in running and supervising commercial and industrial roofing construction projects to deliver projects on time and within budget.Schedule and manage sub-contractors.Implement and understand project administration requirements.Create and update project schedules.Keep project on schedule and running efficiently.Ensure quality control management of project.Control and schedule all field inspections.Verify that project work complies with contract documents.Be responsible for resolving project issues and problems, providing coordination between subcontractors and owner operations, affirming specifications are followed in accordance with Tremco standards.Generating reports on project status and ensuring owner satisfaction.Upholding high levels of health and safety management in compliance with all codes and laws, and Tremco Policy.Extensive travel is required. Willingness to travel 100% of area as needed.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must be computer literate and able to operate Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). 10 years of experience in commercial/industrial built-up roofing systems and/or 5 years as a foreman for BUR systems, materials, and their applications, single ply roofing systems, building constructions, and field fabrication of metal work.Maintain project records and interact with owners, subcontractors, and senior leadership.
