Job summary

TYLin's Buildings team in Buffalo, New York seeks a Project Structural Engineer to join our global infrastructure practice. You will contribute to structural design and analysis for diverse building projects, from new construction to renovation, leveraging experience with steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.

Applicants should have a Civil/Structural/Architectural engineering background, a Bachelor's (Master's preferred), and licensure or progress toward P.E. or S.E.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of experience in structural engineering for buildings (residential, commercial or institutional).
• Experience in historic buildings preservation is an asset.
• Proficiency with computer analysis software such as RISA, SAP and RAM.
• Working knowledge of REVIT.
• Client-focused attitude and a drive for innovative solutions.

Job Summary: TYLin's Buildings team brings creativity and technical excellence to new and existing buildings around the world. Our primary services, structural engineering for buildings, include new construction projects, as well as renovation, adaptive reuse, and historic preservation. Within that broad range, we offer further expertise in specific services including architectural services, code consulting, façade engineering, lightweight structures, and construction support services. We are seeking a Project Structural Engineer to join our TYLin | Buildings team in Buffalo, New York.

Responsibilities

• Structural design and analysis for a wide range of buildings projects, involving steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and archaic building systems.
• Assisting in the preparation of drawings and specifications.
• Conducting site investigations to document existing conditions.
• Coordinating with staff and clients on projects.

• TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $70,000 - $100,000 annually for this position and local market.
