University of Southern California’s Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Prevention seeks a Project Specialist to shape social determinants of health outreach, screening, and care navigation programs. You’ll support a team of patient navigators and coordinate referrals, outreach, and education with community clinics and organizations.
The role is hybrid on-site at USC Health Science Campus in Los Angeles, CA, with responsibilities including event planning, materials design, and data management.
The Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Prevention at USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center aims to enhance uptake of high-quality cancer screening services and improve access to timely cancer treatment through patient navigation and community outreach and education.
We are looking for a Project Specialist to shape social determinants of health outreach, screening, and care navigation programs that advance the mission of the Center. In this dynamic role, you will work cross-departmentally to support impactful programs in partnership with community clinics and organizations to change lives.
As the administrative support for the Center, you’ll be at the heart of our collaborative efforts, providing organizational, administrative, and project management support for a team of patient navigators facilitating referral processes and care coordination.
The Project Specialist will also serve as an initial point of contact for the public on-site and at community events, plan events and workshops, design outreach and education materials, collect and record metrics/data, maintain the program’s electronic databases, and organize Center supplies.
We’re looking for candidates with experience working with diverse populations and clinical teams, excellent and meticulous written and verbal communication, and meticulous organizational and coordination skills. Relevant experience includes employment in office management, health promotion and outreach, healthcare administration, social work, and/or community health.
Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Education: Master’s degree Preferred Experience: 3 years in administrative or office management role in a healthcare setting Supervises: N/A Preferred Field of Expertise: Healthcare Administration, Communications, Social Work, Public Health, Community Health, Business Administration.

This position is hybrid on-site and employee must report to work at the USC Health Science Campus in Los Angeles, CA when scheduled. Work hours and on-site days may be subject to change depending on business needs.
The hourly range for this position is $30.14 - $35.00. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
