Job summary

ABB in the US seeks a Senior Project Manager in its Smart Power group to coordinate high-demand Data Center projects nationwide. You'll partner with Project Managers to align field resources, track progress, and ensure timely execution.

You will handle administrative tasks, maintain service cases, process purchase requisitions, and keep stakeholders informed across HSE, Service, and PM teams. Strong communication and MS Office skills are essential; CAPM/PMP is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with relevant project support experience.
• CAPM or PMP certification preferred.
• 2+ years in service/electrical-based project support.
• Proficient in MS Office; MS Project experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate field resources with schedules provided by project managers.
• Support administrative tasks, documentation via email, SharePoint, and PM software.
• Create and maintain service cases with complete information.
• Create and follow up on purchase requisitions.
• Maintain timely communications with project stakeholders (HSE, Service, PM).
• Troubleshoot and resolve coordination/administrative issues.
• Interface between Projects and Service teams.

This position reports to

Senior Project Manager

In this ABB Smart Power role, you will work closely with Project Managers to coordinate high demand projects at Data Centers across the US. Each day, you will support execution of project activities. The work model for the role is: . This role is contributing to the ABB Smart Power team within our Electrification Service division. You will be mainly accountable for:

• Aligning field resources in accordance with schedules provided by project managers.
• Supporting coordination of various administrative tasks, ensuring proper documentation and follow up are provided via email, SharePoint, and Project Management software.
• Creating and maintaining service cases ensuring administrative information is complete and up to date.
• Creating and following up on purchase requisitions.
• Maintaining timely communications with all project stakeholders (HSE, Service, PM, etc), ensuring proactive up-to-date engagement across all assigned projects.
• Troubleshooting and resolving coordination and/or administrative concerns.
• Acting as key interface between Projects and Service (internal and external) teams.

Qualifications For This Role

• Bachelor's Degree preferred. High school diploma or GED required. Combination of higher education and relevant work experience highly preferred.
• CAPM certification or PMP highly preferred.
• 2+ years experience in service and/or Electrical-based project support highly preferred.
• Current experience with Microsoft Office Suite required, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Microsoft Project Planner a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to work across all U.S. based time zones as needed.
• Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
