Job summary

Brayman Construction is seeking a full-time Site Safety Project Representative for a Cincinnati, OH construction project. The contract position will support the project team and workforce for the duration of the assignment.

The Site Safety Project Representative will foster a proactive safety culture, reporting to the Corporate Safety Director, and will conduct safety training, assess jobsites for hazards, and implement corrective measures to prevent incidents.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of safety experience in general construction, preferably civil infrastructure and heavy highway construction OR BS in Safety with 3 years of relevant experience.
• 30-hour OSHA Construction Safety class or its equivalent.
• OSHA 500 Trainer and First Aid/CPR Instructor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct new employee orientations and ensure compliance with the site drug testing program.
• Develop and conduct training as needed at the project, including fall protection, confined space, PPE, first aid/CPR, signal person, and Hazard Communication.
• Write, review, and modify site-specific safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure jobsite compliance with Federal, State, and Local Regulations, as well as Corporate Policies and Procedures.
• Lead incident investigation efforts, document findings, and assist in developing lessons learned to help prevent recurrence.
• Conduct jobsite safety inspections, including inspection of power tools, cords, and other potential hazards.
• Conduct PPE inspections, order and replace PPE, and administer related training.

Brayman Construction is hiring a full-time Project Site Safety Representative for a construction project in Cincinnati, OH. This position will be dedicated to supporting the project team and workforce throughout the duration of the assignment. This is a project-specific, contract position.

CONTRACT POSITION DETAILS

• Position: Site Safety Project Representative
• Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract
• Contract Duration: Approximately 6 months

• Assignment: Dedicated project-based safety role for the duration of the contract

Site Safety Representative Summary

The Site Safety Project Representative will foster and maintain a proactive approach to safety, promoting an employee-centered safety culture on the project. Reporting directly to the Corporate Safety Director, this role will support and assist the project workforce by conducting safety training, assessing jobsites for hazards, and implementing corrective measures.

Summary of Site Safety Project Representative Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct new employee orientations and ensure compliance with the site drug testing program.
• Develop and conduct training as needed at the project, including, but not limited to, fall protection, confined space, personal protective equipment, first aid/CPR, signal person, and Hazard Communication.
• Write, review, and modify site-specific safety policies and procedures.

Summary of Site Safety Project Representative Required Skills & Abilities:

• Detail-oriented, excellent communicator with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and take initiative.
• Willingness to work on a construction project in Cincinnati, OH for the duration of the 8-month contract assignment.
• Comfortable working in an active construction environment and supporting field employees on a daily basis.
• Comfortable working and teaching knowledge of Hazard Communication, Use of P.P.E., First-Aid/CPR & AED, Trench Shoring, Confined Space, Respiratory Protection, Fall Protection, Blood Borne Pathogens, OSHA Regulations, Forklift, Silica, and Mobile Cranes.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel, PowerPoint, and other related computer software.

Site Safety Project Representative Required Education & Experience:

Safety Sensitive Position

This is a Safety Sensitive Position requiring work on project sites, including federal projects, and in a heavy manufacturing facility with various safety hazards which are potentially life-threatening to the employee. This position may require working at heights, in confined spaces, around heavy equipment, around chemicals, which require a government permit, around high voltage, and under constantly changing circumstances. This position may also entail project site work at night and on weekends on an as needed basis. This position will be subject to more stringent drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a Federal Contractor.
