Job summary

Project SEARCH Coordinator position at employU, Inc partners with Cleveland Clinic Tradition Hospital to place high school students in internships, building employability skills and pathways to employment. The role coordinates healthcare site partnerships, student supports, and collaboration with families and school districts.

The Coordinator works with Vocational Rehabilitation and hospital management to ensure accommodations, training, and successful outcomes for interns as they progress

• Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships and demonstrate sensitivity and respect for a diverse population.

Responsibilities

• Reviews potential Project Search candidates and conducts interviews.
• Assists with hospital tours for interns, parents, and teachers.
• Organizes annual student/parent orientation and graduation sessions.
• Prepares and conducts employment planning meetings with interns, parents, supervisors, and Project Search Team.
• Leads assessments at cohort start and submits them for billing in the CRM.
• Ensures referrals for vocational assessments, OJT rotations, and placements.
• Develops internship sites, writes job descriptions, and plans modifications for internships.
• Educates on disability awareness and prepares interns for interviews in host businesses.
• Trains interns in host-unique interview processes for internships and competitive positions.
• Ensures timely Project Search billing and liaises with Vocational Rehabilitation for approvals.
