Job summary

Cedars-Sinai invites applications for a Project Scientist to join the Ze'ev Ronai lab. The selected candidate will contribute independently to cancer biology and immunology research and support day-to-day laboratory operations under supervision.

Key duties include developing and implementing new research protocols, preparing grant proposals and manuscripts, assisting experiments, analyzing data, and mentoring staff researchers.

Qualifications

• PhD in biological sciences with tumor biology/immunology preferred.
• Postdoctoral appointment completed where applicable.
• Knowledge of PI's area of research specialization.
• Technical competency in diverse research techniques and protocols.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with mouse colonies and computer analysis programs.
• Multitasking and experience using bioinformatic platforms to analyze data.
• Experience in genotyping and maintaining genetic mouse colonies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day laboratory activities and experiments.
• Lead or train staff researchers and supervise graduate students where needed.
• Contribute to publications and presentations as author or co-author.
• Develop and implement new research techniques and protocols.
• Prepare grant proposals, submissions, publications and presentations.
