Job summary

Strategic Staffing Solutions in Columbus, OH, seeks a highly experienced Project Scheduler using Oracle Primavera P6 to manage complex schedules for utilities and construction projects. This onsite, 12+ month W2 contract role requires strong scheduling discipline and leadership.

You will train junior schedulers, develop integrated schedules, monitor milestones, and provide schedule risk analysis to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience or Associate's with 10 years in a related field.
• Degrees in Accounting, Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or Project Management from an accredited university.
• Scheduling experience in Transmission, Substation, Construction or Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define activities, duration, sequences, and logic to develop the schedule and milestones.
• Provide input to schedulers for integrated schedules with resource loading and leveling.
• Develop junior schedulers and organize schedule review meetings with stakeholders.
• Engage team to create schedules and provide schedule analysis updates, alerting risks.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with project schedules.
• Own the project schedule standard work processes; lead development and implementation.

*Looking for 6+ years of P6 scheduling experience in utilities or construction. Must have recent P6 experience.

Job Summary

Technical SME for project scheduling within the department and will be will be responsible for supporting and providing guidance of the development and analysis of project schedule deliverables. This includes the development and analysis of a wide range of scope of work types, especially complex schedules using the assigned system. Train schedulers and planners so they are technically able to plan, schedule, integrate, baseline, and analyze scopes of work.

Essential Job Functions & Tasks

• Define activities, duration, work sequences, and relationship logic to develop implement the scope of work plan and develop milestones to represent key decisions and deliverables that take place during execution.
• Provide input and guidance to schedulers in the development of fully integrated system schedules (including resource loading and leveling) for schedules that utilize critical path methodology based on work scope from the work packages and planners work list.
• Responsible for the development of junior schedulers in organizing schedule review meetings with all stakeholders and incorporating appropriate details.
• Engage team and stakeholders to create schedules and provide schedule analysis updates to team, alerting them to schedule risks and issues that could delay milestones. Communicate schedule status to project stakeholders.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with project schedules.
• Own the project schedule standard work processes; leading the development, review, and implementation

Basic Qualifications

• With a qualified Bachelor's degree, eight (8) years' qualified experience required; with a qualified Associate's degree, ten (10) years' qualified experience.
• Qualified degrees must be in a related field from an accredited university or college and could include Accounting, Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or Project Management.
• Scheduling experience in Transmission, Substation, Construction or Engineering preferred.
