Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ construction/engineering scheduling experience; able to develop logic/constraints, WBS, review manpower curves, and track critical deliverables.
  • Datacenters or advanced technologies experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of construction engineering tech, codes and standards; understands interdependencies with other functions.
  • Cost control methods for EPC, JV, lump sum, time-and-material, and maintenance projects.
  • Primavera P6 and related project software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a team of schedulers to ensure project schedules are accurate and high quality.
  • Coordinate with project teams to plan and schedule from concept through construction.
  • Develop resource-loaded schedules with milestones and long-lead items.
  • Create schedule logic, durations, and resource loading.
  • Assess design changes’ impact and notify on schedule updates.
  • Apply EPC terminology to develop critical path logic and use historical data.
  • Prepare progress reports.
  • Monitor project status and report schedule variations.
  • Coordinate discipline and project schedule development.
  • Upload resources reflecting current status.
  • Maintain documentation to justify time adjustments against the current schedule.
  • Develop revision or recovery schedules with the team.
  • Prepare narratives for schedule submittals.
  • Track contract documents for schedule adherence, changes, and amendments.
  • Interpret performance curves and forecast productivity and manpower.

Our schedulers support both engineering and construction projects, performingresource and cost loaded schedules and analysis. You will be responsible for building and updating schedules as milestones progress and as deliverables are completed. Location

This is an in-office position based in Lenexa, KS.

Responsibilities
  • Work with a team of schedulers to support all sizes of engineering design and construction projects to ensure all aspects of the project schedule maintain the highest level of quality and accuracy.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, designers, estimators, procurement staff, construction managers, contractors and other project services staff to provide detailed planning and scheduling of projects from conceptual planning through engineering and construction.
  • Develop resource loaded schedules, including lists of activities, major milestones, critical approvals, long lead procurement items and other critical project deliverables to be scheduled and tracked for the projects.
  • Develop schedule logic and constraints, realistic activity durations and available manpower and resources.
  • Assess the impact(s) of design changes and schedule slippages and inform company management and clients of all schedule updates.
  • Apply knowledge of engineering, procurement and construction terminology, work processes, and concepts to develop and maintain critic path logic networks; accumulate and access historical data for use in maintaining realistic future planning and forecasting.
  • Prepare standard progress reports for each assigned project
  • Confirm project status; identify and report on variations in the schedule in a timely manner
  • Coordinate the development, maintenance, and review of discipline and project schedules
  • Upload original and updated resources to reflect current status
  • Maintain careful documentation of all schedule submittals and related facts, so that any requests for time adjustments can be measured against the accepted schedule in place at the time any delays or changes were experienced.
  • Coordinate with project team to develop revision or recovery schedules as needed
  • Prepare written narratives for all schedule submittals
  • Track the contract document requirements for schedule adherence, as well as change orders and contract amendments
  • Interpret performance curve data and forecast productivity; provide manpower information for forecasting
Qualifications
  • 3+ years’ construction/engineering scheduling experience (resource loaded schedules); able to to develop logic and constraints, WBS structure, review manpower curves, identify gaps, and track critical project deliverables, and report on variations in scheduling in timely manner.
  • Experience with Datacenters or other advanced technologies is preferred.
  • Able to exhibit knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards, etc., plus an in-depth understanding of the interdependence and relationship between other functional units
  • Working knowledge of standard cost control methods utilized in the execution of various types of project (EPC, Joint Venture, Lump Sum, time and Material, Maintenance).
  • Skilled in Primavera (P6), and other company-specific software
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, or engineering preferred. Technical training or related experience will also be considered. #LI-MM1
