Job summary

The Garrett Companies, based in Denver, seeks a Project Scheduler to drive construction schedules from concept to completion. You will partner with Preconstruction, Development, and PM groups to keep projects on track, learning every stage of the build and ensuring brand-aligned delivery.

Ideal candidates bring experience with MS Project or Primavera P6, strong Excel use, and a proven ability to report clearly in writing and speaking.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Construction, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Construction project management experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Project or Primavera P6 and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules using MS Project.
  • Integrate multiple schedules into a master project schedule (baseline, status, monitoring).
  • Develop and maintain summary schedule reports (Gantt, milestones) for critical path analysis.
  • Collaborate with Preconstruction, Development, and PM teams to gather and analyze information and report progress.
  • Support PM in planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting.
  • Standardize the project scheduling approach for accuracy in execution and reporting.
  • Troubleshoot and monitor scheduling problems; participate in weekly schedule reviews.
  • Serve as SME training Field Operations and PM staff in scheduling best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Preconstruction, Development, and Project Management to develop and maintain detailed construction project schedules using MS Project.
  • Integrate multiple schedules into a master project schedule, including baseline, status, and monitoring.
  • Develop and maintain summary-level schedule reports, such as Gantt charts, milestone charts, and other tools to support critical path analysis.
  • Collaborate with project teams to gather and analyze information and prepare reports on the progress of projects.
  • Support the Project Management team in planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting.
  • Work with Project Management to standardize the project scheduling approach to facilitate accuracy in project execution and reporting.
  • Troubleshoot and monitor potential scheduling problems.
  • Facilitate and participate in weekly schedule reviews.
  • Serve as subject matter expert training Field Operations and Project Management staff to learn or increase their skills in project scheduling.
  • Maintain positive relationships with all Garrett Companies personnel.
Required Skills And Qualifications
  • Degree from an accredited university with a focus in Construction, Engineering, or a relevant field of study.
  • Construction project management experience.
  • Experience using MS Project or Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel.
  • Expertise using MS Project to manage an integrated master schedule and supporting project schedules.
  • Ability to operate independently and effectively report in written and verbal formats.
  • Ability to build consensus, manage details, and anticipate issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects of schedule enforcement and development.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and writing skills.

Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
