Position Overview

This role involves partnering with EH&S and project teams to ensure site compliance with safety programs, policies, and regulations on a construction project in Northern Louisiana. The position requires leading safety training, managing environmental and hazardous materials reports, and enforcing safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and enforce EH&S policies on the project, ensuring safety standards are met.
2. Manage safety resources and provide leadership to the project team.
3. Assess safety practices and develop mitigation strategies.
4. Communicate safety requirements and improvements to project staff.
5. Reduce incident rates and manage regulatory compliance.
6. Develop and deliver safety training tailored to project needs.
7. Promote safe work practices and maintain relationships with safety representatives.
8. Develop and enforce safety programs and policies.
9. Identify and correct unsafe actions and conditions.
10. Review subcontractor safety programs and conduct preconstruction safety meetings.
11. Conduct safety orientations, audits, and assessments.
12. Prepare safety reports and track safety metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related field and 4+ years of construction safety experience.
• Construction Health Safety Technician (CHST) certification or within 2 years.
• OSHA 30-hour training, First Aid/CPR/BP, AED certifications.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental principles.
• Leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel and access reliable transportation.

Physical & Work Environment

Must be able to perform physical activities such as climbing stairs, ladders, and moving up to 50 pounds. Work involves construction sites with typical hazards, requiring adherence to safety policies.
