Job summary

Safety Worxs is seeking a Project Safety Coordinator for a heavy civil, parking garage project in Nacogdoches, TX. You will lead the safety program from inception to substantial completion, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and project standards while cultivating a proactive safety culture on site.

The role requires 7+ years in construction safety or a 4-year safety degree with 3+ years of field experience, plus OSHA 500 or 502 trainer credentials.

Qualifications

• 7+ years building construction safety experience.
• 4-year safety degree with 3+ years field safety work.
• OSHA 500 or OSHA 502 trainer certification required.
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certifications within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the project safety program from start to substantial completion.
• Implement hazard identification, mitigation, and field inspections.
• Conduct incident investigations with preventive recommendations.
• Provide ongoing training in Fall Protection, Scaffolds, Excavation, Confined Space, Crane/Equipment Ops, Electrical Safety.
• Review and approve safety statements for high-hazard activities.
• Maintain safety records, documentation, and training evidence.
• Liaise with ODR and project leadership on safety matters.
• Ensure subs comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
