As the only vertically integrated AI infrastructure company built from the ground up, we own and operate each layer of the stack — from electrons to tokens — to power the world’s most ambitious AI workloads. When you join Crusoe, you join a team that is building the future, faster.

We’re in the midst of the greatest industrial revolution of our time. The demand for AI compute is boundless, and power is a bottleneck. We’re solving that — with an energy-first approach that makes AI infrastructure better for the world and faster for the people innovating with AI.

We’re looking for problem‑solving, opportunity‑finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved — people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services.

If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe.

About This Role:

Crusoe is rapidly expanding hyper‑scale AI data center infrastructure in Abilene, Texas and across multiple U.S. campuses. We are seeking an experienced Project Safety Advisor to lead health, safety, and environmental programs during the most critical and high‑risk phases of construction.

This role sits directly at the intersection of heavy industrial construction and mission‑critical infrastructure. You will own safety performance during large‑scale workforce ramp‑ups, heavy equipment operations, and the transition from construction site to live, energized environments. This is a highly visible role partnering closely with construction leadership, general contractors, commissioning teams, and site operations to ensure infrastructure is delivered safely and at a global scale.

What You’ll Be Working On:
  • Program Ownership: Own site‑wide health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs for hyperscale data center construction projects.

  • On‑Site Oversight: Perform daily walkthroughs focused on high‑risk activities including trenching, crane operations, scaffolding, and heavy equipment.

  • Contractor Management: Partner with prime contractors to ensure safety programs are effectively implemented and deliverables are provided in a timely manner.

  • Safety Metrics: Track and report incident rates, near‑misses, and leading safety indicators to drive continuous improvement.

  • Electrical Commissioning Safety: Lead safety oversight during the transition to live power environments, including UPS, switchgear, and generators.

  • Audit & Leadership: Audit prime contractor safety programs and lead weekly safety leadership meetings.

  • Emergency Preparedness: Establish and maintain emergency response plans, evacuation routes, and medical response procedures.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Relevant Experience: 5+ years in heavy industrial construction safety (e.g., oil and gas, power generation, or large‑scale manufacturing).

  • Required Certifications: Current OSHA 30‑Hour Construction certification or OSHA 510; First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.

  • Technical Mastery: Deep working knowledge of OSHA construction regulations and NFPA 70E, including arc flash boundaries and PPE selection.

  • Operational Ability: Proven ability to influence site leadership and manage safety performance under aggressive project timelines.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work full‑time on active construction sites, including walking long distances, climbing ladders, and working outdoors in varying conditions.

  • Safety and Compliance: This position is designated a safety‑sensitive position and/or is located in a safety‑sensitive facility. Drug and alcohol program participation is required.

Bonus Points:
  • Professional certifications such as CSP, ASP, GSP, or CHST.

  • Prior experience specifically supporting data center construction or commissioning.

  • Proficiency with construction management platforms such as Procore or SafetyCulture/iAuditor.

Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation and equity packages

  • Paid time off, paid holidays & leave of absence programs

  • Comprehensive health, dental & vision insurance

  • Employer contributions to HSA account

  • Paid parental leave

  • Paid life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability

  • Professional development & tuition reimbursement

  • Mental health & wellness support

  • Commuter benefits (parking & transit)

  • Cell phone stipend

  • 401(k) Retirement plan with company match up to 4% of salary

  • Volunteer time off
