Advanced Facilities, Inc. is seeking a Project Renovation Technician to perform a wide range of maintenance and renovation tasks in vacant apartments and project sites.

You will handle carpentry, drywall, flooring, painting, and various fixture installations, while ensuring quality and timely completion. The role requires hands-on skills in plumbing, electrical work, and safety compliance, with flexibility to travel to different project locations across the SE Minnesota and Minneapolis/St.

Qualifikationen

• 1–2 years of maintenance/repair experience for residential, retail, or commercial properties.
• Carpentry, painting, plastering, heating/cooling, and minor electrical tasks experience a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training and/or related experience preferred.

• Prepare, prime, sand, seal, patch, and paint surfaces.
• Prepare floor for new flooring and install coverings (LVP, carpet, tile).

• Inspect projects after renovation for proper operation and quality; remedy as needed for make-ready conditions.

Job Summary:

Under general direction, the Renovation Technician is responsible for performing a wide variety of general maintenance repairs and services to vacant apartments & various renovation projects for an assigned portfolio. This includes, but is not limited to repairs, replacements, and upgrades of plumbing and electrical fixtures, doors and hardware, counter tops and cabinets, appliances, walls, and floors.

Essential Job Duties and Core Responsibilities:

• Light framing & carpentry.
• Prepare, prime, sand, seal, patch, and paint horizontal and vertical surfaces.
• Prepare the floor’s surface for the installation of new flooring. This will include the removal of previous flooring material and subfloor and the proper installation of new floor coverings such as LVP, carpet, tile.
• Replace finishes as needed which may include the installation or repair of cabinetry, countertops, doors, trim, appliances, lighting, hardware, mechanical equipment, plumbing, and electrical fixtures.
• Inspect projects at completion of renovation for appropriate operation and quality control; remedy as necessary for appropriate make-ready conditions.
• Performs other projects as required and assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Work requires strong knowledge and technical skills associated with light carpentry, plumbing, flooring installation, drywall/taping, painting, electrical, HAVC, and general installations or repairs.

• Work requires the ability to adhere and ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed at all times.

• Work will at times require travel around SE Minnesota and Minneapolis/St. Paul areas depending on project locations.

Minimum Qualifications:

One (1) to two (2) years of maintenance and repair experience required for residential, retail, or commercial property management. Skills and experience servicing and repairing items associated with carpentry, painting, plastering, heating, and cooling, and minor electrical tasks. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; vocational training, and one year of maintenance and/or service experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
