Job summary

PPI Quality & Engineering is seeking an experienced Project Quality Lead to support operations at a client facility in Joliet, Illinois. The role focuses on implementing and maintaining the PQMS/PQP, driving quality performance, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of QA/quality leadership, is able to travel, and can reside in Joliet, IL or relocate at own expense.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in quality leadership or QA
• Experience with PQP, PQMS, and surveillance programs preferred
• Ability to travel as required and reside in Joliet, IL area or relocate at own expense

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the PQMS and Project Quality Plan
• Coordinate quality audits and surveillance tools across work scopes
• Ensure non-conformances are identified, reported and resolved and quality metrics are tracked and reported
• Interface with Project Management and other disciplines to support PQMS execution

Job Summary

PPI Quality & Engineering is a global provider of quality assurance, engineering, and inspection services to the energy industry. We are currently seeking an experienced Project Quality Lead to support operations at a client facility in Joliet, Illinois. The successful candidate will oversee project quality assurance activities, ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and client requirements, and drive quality performance throughout project execution. Candidates must currently reside in the Joliet, IL area or be willing to relocate at their own expense.

Schedule & Assignment Details

• Schedule: 4/10s or 5/8s, with opportunities for overtime.

• Assignment Duration: Long-term opportunity.

• Travel: Some business travel required.

• Location: Joliet, Illinois.

Residency Requirement: Candidates must currently reside in the Joliet area or be willing to relocate at their own expense and establish permanent local residency. This is a long-term assignment intended for local personnel; per diem and relocation assistance are not provided.

• The PQL ensures the effective implementation of the PQP throughout the project’s duration.
• PQL is responsible to:
  • Develop, implement and maintain the PQMS, including
  • Developing and maintaining the Project Quality Plan, Control Procedures and Procurement and Construction Surveillance Programs
  • Ensuring development of Engineering Surveillance Programs
  • Coordinating development of Surveillance tools for specific work scopes
  • Coordinating Quality Scorecard program across Project and discussing Project Quality Scorecard with PT Management
  • Coordinate development and execution of quality audit program for the Project
  • Ensure non-conformances and quality issues are identified, reported and resolved
  • Establish and implement project’s quality reporting and metrics program
• Maintain interfaces, including:
  • Interfacing with Project Management to ensure appropriate engagement in providing resources, support and direction for the PQMS
  • Interfacing with other disciplines (e.g., Engineering, Construction, Operations, etc.) in matters relating to Quality, including input and execution of interfacing documents (e.g., Training Plan, MOC Plan, Org Plan) and execution of the PQMS
