Job summary

Cumming Group is seeking an on-site Project Manager in Alabama to lead design, bid, and scheduling phases across projects. You will prepare meeting minutes, report on progress and costs, and ensure contracts and approvals are compliant.

Responsibilities

  • Assist on-site Project Manager with design, bid, and scheduling phases.
  • Provide update/status reports for work in progress, including costs.
  • Assist in Addenda and Bid process.
  • Facilitate on-site meetings and prepare minutes.
  • Maintain accurate project records.
  • Support close-out activities and occupancy readiness.
  • Contribute to constructability reviews and value engineering.
  • Monitor contract compliance and report concerns.
  • Ensure approvals from government agencies are documented.
  • Review RFIs and submittals for completeness.
  • Provide basic CPM scheduling and budget management.
  • Review As-Built drawings.
  • Attend work during normal business hours.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist top Project Manager on site in formulation of the design, bid, and Project phase scheduling of the assigned project(s).
  • Provide update/status reporting for work in progress including costs and schedules.
  • Assist in the Addenda and Bid process.
  • Under the supervision of Project Manager(s) facilitate job site meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Under supervision of Project Manager(s) conduct close out activities and assist with building occupancy.
  • Assist the project management team with various parts of the project such as constructability review, value engineering, pay app reviews, schedule development, FF&E program development and execution.
  • Monitor contract compliance and report concerns to Project Manager.
  • Oversee approvals from applicable government agencies are received and documented.
  • Prepares field reporting for review by Project Manager.
  • Perform QA/QC process.
  • Review change orders for completeness and conformance to company and client standards.
  • Review RFIs/Submittals for completeness before distribution to design team
  • Provide basic CPM scheduling and budget management.
  • Review and maintain As Built drawings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Attendance at work during normal business hours.
Knowledge & Skills Required
  • Experience with design & bid formulation and project phase scheduling.
  • Experience with the Addenda and Bid process.
  • Ability to facilitate site meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
  • Ability to communicate with various stakeholders, internal and external to the company.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of how project documentation impacts the project flow.
  • Ability to read blueprints.

Preferred Education And Experience
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Engineering, or related field, a combination of education and work experience will also be considered in lieu of degree
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in project construction or equivalent engineering role
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.

The salary range for this full-time role is $121,200.00-$169,666.69 per year. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.
