Job summary

Akraya, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project/Program Manager III to support large-scale data center infrastructure, rebuild, and commissioning projects. This role is highly field-oriented and requires regular on-site presence, with travel between project sites possible.

You will lead multiple vendors and contractors while coordinating with engineering, construction, commissioning, and operations teams to drive schedules, milestones, risks, and action plans to successful completion.

Qualifications

• Ability to work on-site and travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage data center rebuild, infrastructure, and commissioning programs from planning through completion.
• Manage multiple contractors, vendors, and technical workstreams simultaneously.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, deliverables, risks, and action plans.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, commissioning, operations, and vendor teams.
• Monitor vendor performance and ensure work meets requirements, quality standards, and timelines.
• Review technical issues and drive resolution with vendors and engineering teams.
• Identify risks, blockers, and dependencies and escalate as needed.
• Drive accountability across internal teams and external partners.
• Provide regular project status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Support site readiness, commissioning activities, rebuilds, testing, and issue resolution.
• Document project decisions, lessons learned, risks, and corrective actions.
• Travel to other project locations as required.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project/Program Manager III to support large-scale data center infrastructure, rebuild, and commissioning projects. This role is ideal for a technically strong project/program manager who can lead multiple vendors and contractors while understanding the electrical and mechanical systems involved in complex facilities. The role is highly field-oriented and requires regular on-site presence. Travel between project sites may be required.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of relevant project/program management experience in data centers, critical facilities, industrial infrastructure, construction, commissioning, or a similar environment.
• Strong technical understanding of electrical and/or mechanical infrastructure.
• Electrical experience with power distribution and switchgear is highly valuable.
• Mechanical experience with systems such as chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, liquid cooling, exhaust fans, or large mechanical distribution is highly valuable.
• Experience managing third-party vendors, contractors, and technical teams.
• Experience working on complex, large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong problem-solving, escalation management, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership and drive projects to completion.
• Comfortable working on-site Monday through Friday.
• Willingness to travel as required, potentially up to approximately 50%.
