Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Program/Project Manager to lead the implementation of a Human Capital Management (HCM) system, inclusive of payroll services. This role will be responsible for managing all phases of the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will bring expertise in HCM technologies, exceptional project management skills, and strong collaboration capabilities to ensure delivery within scope, timeline, and budget. Responsibilities include partnering with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to deliver an innovative solution aligned with organizational goals, compliance standards, and emerging industry trends.

Major Responsibilities
  • Partner with Procurement in the RFP and/or competitive bid processes.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Procurement and other key stakeholders to navigate negotiations and ensure compliance with the client policies.
  • Development of a comprehensive HCM business case, outlining strategic objectives, benefits, measurable outcomes, and cost analysis to support executive decision-making.
  • Optimize resource allocation and develop detailed project plans to track and report progress.
  • Coordinate internal and external vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Prepare executive-level reports and provide regular updates to the steering committee.
  • Monitor and measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and methodologies.
  • Implement risk management techniques to mitigate project risks, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and third-party stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation aligned with IT Project Management Office standards.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor\'s degree in business, computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field required.
  • 10–15 years of experience implementing HCM solutions with a focus on large-scale, complex projects involving multiple integrations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HCM platforms (e.g. Dayforce, Oracle Cloud, Workday and SAP SuccessFactors) and related integration technologies, with a strong understanding of enterprise systems.
  • Project Leadership: Demonstrated expertise in leading complex, enterprise-level projects with a focus on delivering seamless integration and flawless execution.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to identify issues, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working as an IT program/project manager in a matrix environment, partnering with internal teams and third-party stakeholders.
  • Business & Technical Acumen: Expertise in business analysis, infrastructure, enterprise architecture, application development, and validation.
  • Project Execution: Extensive experience in managing the full project lifecycle, leading cross functional internal teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure successful delivery in accordance with PMO governance and standards. Possesses strong expertise in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Communication & Leadership: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Financial & Business Management: Proficient in estimating, forecasting, financial management, and business case development.
  • Leadership & Inclusion: Strong consultative leadership skills, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment that values diverse perspectives.
Experience
  • Graduate degree and/or PMP certification are strongly preferred. Other recognized credentials or certifications will be considered favorably.
  • Experience with AI-driven tools and automation in HR is highly desirable
