Job description

The Project Program Associate Director is responsible for leading and delivering enterprise-scale data warehouse and analytics initiatives.

This role provides program and project leadership across cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of modern data platforms, with a strong focus on Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Purview.

The position partners closely with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver scalable, governed, and business-aligned analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) modernization and analytics initiatives from initiation through closure.
  • Plan, execute, and govern projects involving cloud-based data platforms and analytics solutions.
  • Oversee implementation and integration of Microsoft Fabric components, including OneLake, Data Engineering, Data Factory, Data Science, and Power BI.
  • Partner with clients on Fabric and Purview integration and implementation strategies.
  • Provide leadership in data governance and management, leveraging Microsoft Purview for cataloging, compliance, and metadata management.
  • Manage project scope, risks, issues, timelines, and resources in accordance with full project management life-cycle practices.
  • Lead and manage teams consisting of 20–30 project associates across delivery functions.
  • Communicate with customers on a regular basis to provide status updates, manage expectations, and address delivery or resourcing needs.
  • Draft project proposals, develop effort estimations, and participate in client presentations and solution discussions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to resolve project and operational challenges related to existing and proposed analytics solutions.
  • Ensure delivery aligns with enterprise architecture standards, quality expectations, and business objectives.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 8 years of IT project management experience, including leadership of enterprise data warehouse or analytics initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience managing cloud-based data platform projects at scale.
  • Strong knowledge of Enterprise Data Warehouse concepts, including data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and analytics.
  • Hands‑on project leadership experience with Microsoft Fabric in modern data architectures.
  • Experience using Microsoft Purview for data governance, cataloging, and compliance initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of Azure data services and BI ecosystems such as Power BI.
  • Proven ability to manage large, cross‑functional delivery teams.
  • Strong experience in project governance, risk management, issue management, scope control, and resource management.
  • Excellent client‑facing communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the insurance domain.
  • Experience interfacing directly with executive‑level stakeholders.
  • Experience delivering large‑scale analytics or data governance programs.
Certifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent project management certification.
