Job summary

State of Iowa’s IOSHA seeks an Executive Officer 1 to lead transformation, coordinate projects, and improve processes from our Des Moines office. You will document workflows, test updates, train staff, and drive metrics-based improvements across programs.

You will analyze data to guide leadership on resource allocation and training strategies while managing key operations in a regulatory environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any field and three years of professional-level work in program administration, development, operations, or management.
• Or seven years total education and/or full-time experience as described above.
• Alternate: one year in a related role plus two years of graduate education in public-service fields equals one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Document workflows and test software updates.
• Deliver staff training and identify system enhancements.
• Collect and analyze operational data to advise leadership on resource allocation, workflow optimization, and training strategies.
• Manage key programmatic operations within IOSHA.
