GECU is seeking a PMO/Executive Strategy leader to oversee enterprise-wide governance of critical success measures and the project portfolio. You will ensure data integrity, align projects to strategic goals, and manage executive dashboards and reporting.

The role requires collaboration across EVPs and business units, with a focus on improving processes, compliance, and ROI tracking. Occasional remote work may be available depending on project needs.

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides organization wide oversight and communication of GECU’s Critical Success Measures and Executive Strategy through the administration of Communication and Project Portfolio Management systems. Ensures quality and provides organizational support to ensure Project management governance. Responsible for data integrity and quality of all projects aligned with GECU’s project management methodology, assuring compliance and standards, and business goals.

TYPICAL DUTIES

  • Connects project execution to strategy fulfillment by aligning projects to the organization’s strategic roadmap. Helps define, prioritize, and link projects to their strategic plan and annual goals.
  • Works closely with EVPs to continuously develop and administer the Organizational communication system; Connections online.
  • Drafts and update project management governance documentation, including related policies, standard operating procedures and terms of reference. Annual updates in line with best practices.
  • Oversees the resources and capacity across the organization along with the project portfolio budget.
  • Responsible for the business case and the return on investment identification of strategic initiatives and lookback process.
  • Responsible for Project documentation active and archived. Support of evaluations and audits.
  • Recommends process improvement continuously on project management methodology, governance, and identifies issues that may impact the achievement of strategic programs and projects.
  • Administers Project Management systems and Executive dashboards. Establishes and maintains the PMO information management System.
  • Designs surveys, undertakes data collection, analyzes information, data quality assurance and produces reports outlining problems, conclusions and trends.
  • Assists with project documentation reviews as required.
  • Drafts and delivers presentations related to project management portfolio. Inputs to plans and roadmaps for expanding knowledge of the PMO and Executive strategy across the organization.
  • Updates the Initiatives and Critical Success Measures to ensure the information management system is current and easily understood by all employees.
  • Develops and maintains procedures necessary to ensure staff can easily navigate, update, and easily navigate the information management system.
  • Visits with business units on a regular basis to provide project updates and share relevant information, in consultation with Project Manager.
  • Provides support to Project Management Office (PMO) and credit union staff for PMO information management system.
  • Maintains documentation files for all Connections related materials (e.g. Critical Success Measures, Scope & Deliverables, Project Plan, Issues Log, Meeting Agendas/Minutes, Weekly Status Reports).
  • Keeps the SVP - PMO informed of all aspects of ongoing developments.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with other credit unions and shares non-proprietary information freely.
  • Develops and presents training for staff on the information management system.
  • Creates and prepares reports needed to present to external auditors.
  • This position may require the employee to work from home occasionally.
  • Maintain and understand compliance to ensure that work complies with GECU’s established policies, procedures and applicable regulations, to include Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering Act (AML) addressing Money Laundering and the Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT), Member Identification Program (MIP), and Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC).
  • Other duties as may be assigned or required in connection with the general operation of the credit union.
Requirements

FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENT

  • Experience engaging with team members at diverse levels, from executive management to entry level personnel. Ability to establish trusted relationships.
  • Strong and effective communication skills are an essential requirement, both written and verbal.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and use initiative
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Knowledgeable of integration requirements with other GECU products and services.
  • Project Management Fundamentals - Experience in the planning, design, development, implementation and support to project teams of a Project Management Office.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENT

  • Have or acquire superior knowledge of the applications used by the assigned department and their integration with other GECU products and services.
  • Experience designing project management reports and Executive Dashboards
  • Knowledge and/or experience with report writing tools
  • Understanding of integration and middleware technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of MS Office software including MS Project and PowerBI knowledge preferred.
  • Understanding of all technologies that deliver the services and products of the assigned department.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration/Computer Science, equivalent, or five years similar or related experience preferred.
  • PfMP certification preferred.
  • Requires sitting the majority of the day, lifting up to 10 pounds, bending, and occasionally reaching above and below shoulder level.

Required Availability: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00 pm Can include after hour and weekend work depending on project requirements.
