Job Summary

The Supervisor supports the Director of Physician Contracting and Affiliations in managing the administrative and operational functions of the Physician Contracting and Affiliations team. This role provides direct supervision to professional staff engaged in physician contracting, affiliation management, and service agreement oversight for UC Davis Health's external partnerships.

Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position
Bachelor's degree in business administration, health administration, public health, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Minimum 3-5 years of progressively responsible administrative, contracting, financial, or operational experience in a health care, academic medical center, or clinical practice setting.
Experience supervising or leading administrative staff, including recruiting, training, evaluating, and performance management.
Solid demonstrated experience and knowledge of healthcare financial services analyses, contracting, service agreement administration, and clinical operational workflows.
Experience monitoring contract deliverables and ensuring service execution according to agreement terms.
Solid knowledge of healthcare contracting, service agreement administration, and clinical operational workflows.
Strong organizational skills, including ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines with attention to detail and accuracy.
Knowledge of budget development, financial tracking, and operational reporting processes.
Solid understanding of confidentiality, data security practices, and compliance with HIPAA and similar regulations.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, leadership, and external partners.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other common administrative software.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in business administration, health administration, public health, or a related field.
Experience in business development in a clinical health care setting.
Experience in joint ventures and healthcare contracting.
Demonstrated experience creating, implementing, and improving administrative processes in a healthcare setting.
Demonstrated experience establishing and utilizing metrics to improve department or program operations.
Familiarity with physician compensation models for faculty and staff physicians.
Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional projects in a complex environment, across clinical, information technology, financial and legal channels.
Working knowledge of UC policies and UC Davis Health administrative or contracting processes.

Department Overview
The UCDMG manages physician contracts and locums across the School of Medicine, Community Physician Group, and Affiliate Network. The Affiliate Network has 125 physician contracts where physicians provide care in over a dozen Northern California hospitals, clinics, and FQHC's. This position fosters effective working relationships with physicians, departmental leaders, affiliate partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of contracted services and strategic affiliate initiatives.
