Job summary

PTS Advance is seeking an experienced Project Planner / Primavera P6 Schedule to support one of our client's Capital Projects organizations. This role is responsible for developing and managing project schedules for engineering and capital projects across multiple disciplines, including mechanical, civil, electrical, instrumentation & controls (I&C), and structural engineering.

The successful candidate will work closely with project engineers and stakeholders to transform engineering work

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in project planning, scheduling, or maintenance planning with Primavera
• Experience developing schedules for industrial construction, capital projects, or maintenance programs
• Strong understanding of project controls, resource loading, and schedule development methodologies
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, project scopes, and work packages

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 for capital and engineering projects
• Review engineering work packages and scope documents to create logical execution plans
• Establish project timelines, work breakdown structures, critical paths, and milestones
• Estimate labor hours, manpower requirements, and resource loading for execution
• Support capital project budgeting and forecasting through schedule development and resource planning
• Collaborate with project engineers, construction teams, and refinery stakeholders to align schedules with project objectives
• Update and maintain project schedules throughout the project lifecycle
• Identify schedule risks, resource constraints, and potential impacts to execution
• Provide schedule analysis and reporting to support project management decision-making
• Assist project teams with execution planning and field implementation strategies
• Ensure schedules accurately reflect project scope, priorities, and refinery requirements
