Job summary

Gavial Engineering & Manufacturing, Inc. in Santa Maria, CA seeks a Project Planner to support efficient material procurement and work order packaging for production, refurbishment, or repair work.

You will create item masters, BOMs, and production methods while coordinating with purchasing to ensure on-time material availability and accurate POs. Strong organizational and ERP skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical training a plus.
• 3+ years of experience in production and/or material planning or similar role in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Create new item masters in Gavial's ERP system.
• Create production bills of materials in the ERP system from drawings and BOMs.
• Generate material requests based on project demand and BOMs.
• Coordinate with purchasing to issue POs accurately and timely.
• Track shipments and resolve delays with suppliers.
• Monitor material status per project and report to management.
• Create production methods and release new work orders.
• Assemble work order packages with complete technical data.
• Ensure latest configuration and effectivity in work orders.
• Resolve discrepancies from paperwork or related issues.
