Job summary

BW Converting is seeking a Project Planner/Coordinator to drive manufacturing project scheduling from engineering through shipment. You will collaborate with engineering, supply chain and production to provide accurate delivery dates and create multi-module project plans.

The role requires an associate degree (preferred) and 2–4 years in manufacturing. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems is essential; strong communication and planning skills are a must.

  • 2–4 years of relevant manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules manufacturing projects from engineering through shipment.
  • Provides delivery dates for sales quotations by coordinating with engineering, supply chain and manufacturing.
  • Creates multi-module project schedules for engineering, procurement, assembly, test and shipping teams.
  • Monitors projects to identify and address scheduling issues.
  • Reports project status, risk, schedule, issues and plan vs. actual costs.
  • Acts as liaison within operations to ensure smooth information and materials flow.
  • Maintains and improves standard build plans with cross-functional teams.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Description

SUMMARY

The Project Planner/Coordinator is responsible for scheduling manufacturing projects from engineering through to shipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Coordinates between engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing to provide delivery dates for sales quotations.
  • Creates schedules for multi-module projects which enables engineering, procurement, assembly, test, and shipping teams to effectively execute projects.
  • Continuously monitors projects to identify and address issues that may affect the schedule.
  • Reports on projects status/risk, schedule, issues, and plan versus actual costs.
  • Acts as a liaison within operations to enable the effective flow of information and materials.
  • Improves and maintains standard build plans by working with assembly teams, engineering, manufacturing engineering and sales.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • An associate degree in a technical or business-related discipline is preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Two to four years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Demonstrated communication, organization, and planning skills.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of XA and MRP or an equivalent ERP system is required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Typically sits, grasps items and performs keyboarding for frequent operation of a computer.
  • Stand, walk, bend, reach or otherwise move about occasionally.
  • Lift, move or otherwise transfer items up to 30 lbs. occasionally.
  • Occasional exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards.
  • Travel by air or car occasionally.
