Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC in Newington, NH seeks a Project Planner to coordinate manufacturing execution from release through final delivery, reporting to the Reactor Vessel Internals Engineering Manager. This 100% onsite role links Engineering, Operations, Quality and Project Management to ensure readiness and successful project execution across the facility.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3+ years in manufacturing or project coordination, with SAP ERP/MRP

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience with manufacturing, production planning, project coordination or related discipline.
  • Experience with SAP ERP/MRP systems and scheduling software such as Primavera P6.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate manufacturing priorities across machining, fabrication, welding, inspection, and assembly operations.
  • Coordinate resources to ensure schedule adherence (people, machines, material, tooling, paperwork).
  • Work with shop planners, supervisors, engineers and project teams to align activities with schedules.
  • Track status of manufacturing activities and provide visibility to teams and management.
  • Create manufacturing work orders and production packages with engineering personnel.
  • Oversee release readiness of work orders with required inputs.
  • Support daily production planning and execution meetings and resolve barriers.
  • Partner with operations leadership and project teams for capacity planning.
  • Provide schedule risk and execution status inputs to project controls.
  • Coordinate resolution of production constraints and schedule recovery efforts.

About the role:

As a Project Planner you will coordinate manufacturing execution activities from project release through final delivery. You will serve as a key link between Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Project Management, ensuring you properly plan, prioritize, release, and execute manufacturing work. The Manufacturing Project Planner works closely with shop planners, supervisors, engineers, and project teams to support production readiness, monitor progress, and drive successful project execution across the facility.

You will report to the Reactor Vessel Internals Engineering Manager and be located at Newington, NH. You will support this role 100% onsite.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate manufacturing priorities across machining, fabrication, welding, inspection, and assembly operations.
  • Coordinate resources to ensure schedule adherence, including people, machines (availability / level loading), material, programs, tooling, and paperwork.
  • Work with machine shop, fabrication, and quality planners to align production activities with project schedules and customer commitments.
  • Track the status of manufacturing activities and provide visibility to project teams and management.
  • Coordinate creation of manufacturing work orders and production packages with engineering personnel.
  • Oversee release readiness of manufacturing work orders, ensuring required engineering, quality, material, and production inputs are complete before release to operations.
  • Support daily production planning and execution meetings, helping resolve barriers to production.
  • Partner with operations leadership, project teams, and resource planners to support capacity planning and resource prioritization activities.
  • Provide manufacturing progress, schedule risk, and execution status inputs to Component Delivery and Project Controls teams.
  • Coordinate resolution of production constraints and support schedule recovery efforts.
  • Promote continuous improvement of manufacturing planning, work order management, and execution processes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience in manufacturing, production planning, project coordination, operations, engineering, or a related discipline is required.
  • 3+ years of experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP.
  • Experience with scheduling software, such as Primavera P6.
  • Knowledge of machining, fabrication, welding, inspection, or other manufacturing processes is preferred.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $85,200 to $106,500 per year.
