Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC in New Stanton, PA, is seeking a Planning Specialist I to support the WPB Fulfillment team. The role ensures timely delivery of mechanical and breaker products for nuclear plants worldwide, reporting to the Planning Manager and working onsite 5 days a week for the first 6 months.

After training, you may work remotely 1–2 days per week, joining a team focused on innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, technical, or related field.
• 0–2 years of planning experience or equivalent education/experience.
• SAP experience (production, requisitioning, material master data) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Track & Forecast: Monitor order progress and maintain updates in the Westinghouse MRP system.
• Prioritize Smartly: Evaluate work requests, assign priorities, and communicate with stakeholders.
• Support Production: Issue shop travelers and pick lists for in-house build projects.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with Manufacturing Engineering, the Assistant Area Manager, and technicians to estimate labor and lead times for proposals.
• Coordinate Resources: Partner with Engineering and Supply Chain to requisition materials and services.
• Ensure Quality: Align with Quality Control to prioritize inspections.
• Optimize Inventory: Work with Inventory Planning to manage stocking levels and lot sizes.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring timely and efficient delivery of mechanical and breaker products that support the safety and reliability of nuclear plants worldwide. You will report to the Planning Manager. This is an anchor position that will be expected onsite 5 days a week for the first 6 months. Once through the training phase, you will have flexibility to work remotely 1-2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, technical, or related field
• 0–2 years of planning experience (or equivalent education/experience)
  • Equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered
• SAP experience (production, requisitioning, material master data) is a plus.
• Familiarity with contract review and interpretation is desirable.
• Basic understanding of mechanical/electrical manufacturing drawings is a bonus.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications, and skills, is estimated to be $54,000.00 to $67,500.00 per year.
