**Job Summary:**

The Project Payables Analyst is responsible for managing and processing project-related payables, ensuring accuracy, compliance with tax regulations, and adherence to company and client policies. This role supports project execution by coordinating with procurement, contracts, and project controls teams.

**Key Responsibilities:**

+ **Invoice Processing:** Handle vendor and subcontractor invoices and check requests, ensuring all supporting documentation is accurate and complete.

+ **Payment Coordination:** Ensure timely and accurate payments in line with commercial terms and project procedures.

+ **Compliance:** Maintain adherence to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), tax regulations, and internal controls.

+ **Team Coordination:** Oversee and support activities of other AP team members on the project.

+ **Ledger Management:** Manage accounts payable-related ledger accounts and ensure proper coding and reconciliation.

+ **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Work closely with procurement, contracts, project controls, and other finance disciplines.

+ **Reporting & Documentation:** Maintain accurate records and assist with audits and financial reporting as needed.

+ **Training & Guidance:** Provide support and training to junior analysts and clerks.

**Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

+ 8+ years of relevant experience in accounts payable or project accounting.

+ Proficiency in automated accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

+ Strong understanding of tax regulations and financial compliance.

+ Excellent communication and organizational skills.

+ Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

**Preferred Skills:**

+ Experience in construction, engineering, or large-scale project environments.

+ Familiarity with project management tools and ERP systems.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
