Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Principal or Sr Principal Training Rep to join our engineering team in Palmdale, CA, with 100% on-site work. You will identify training needs, plan events, manage logistics, and track status in the LMS.

The ideal candidate has ISD/ADDIE experience, strong communication, and can travel up to 10%. Security clearance of Secret is required or obtainable; collaboration across teams is encouraged.

Qualifications

• PM Level 2 requires 2 years with a Bachelor's degree, or 0 years with a Master's.
• Principal PM Level 3 requires 5 years with a Bachelor's, 3 with a Master's, or 1 with a PhD.
• Ability to obtain a US Government Secret Clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain PAR access as required.
• Travel up to 10%.
• Familiarity with ISD/ADDIE processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Responsibilities

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Principal or Sr Principal Training Rep to join our diverse and talented engineering organization in support of our National Defense. This position will be located in Palmdale CA with the ability to work 100% on site.

Essential Functions

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a training professional to join our diverse and talented engineering organization in support of national defense. In this role, you will identify training that meets engineers’ needs, plan and coordinate training events, manage logistics, and document training status in a learning management system. The ideal candidate has strong communication and organizational skills, experience coordinating events, and a background in curriculum development and in‑person instruction. You will work closely and collaboratively with an experienced technical team to ensure training solutions effectively support our customers’ needs

• Plan and coordinate in house and external training programs in support of all engineering functions.
• Partner with subject matter experts and trainers to design in house training: gather required information, develop course content, prepare training materials, determine delivery methodology, and coordinate training aids.
• Conduct training sessions as needed.
• Implement and support evaluation of training effectiveness, using feedback and metrics to drive improvement.
• Continuously update and refine lesson plans to address new training requirements and keep technical information current.
• Oversee operational aspects of training projects, including reviewing status and budgets, managing schedules, and preparing training status reports
• Select appropriate instructional methods (e.g., individual training, group instruction, self study, lecture, demonstration performance, problem based learning, student centered learning, guided discussion) based on learner needs and training objectives.
• Support, build, and promote a positive, collaborative culture across teams.
• Develop and maintain expert level knowledge in assigned subject areas and training practices.

Basic Qualifications

• Project Management (Level 2) – 2 Years with Bachelors degree; 0 Years with Masters degree
• Principal Project Management (Level 3) - 5 Years with Bachelors degree; 3 Years with Masters degree; 1 Year with PhD
• Ability to obtain a US Government Secret Clearance
• Must have ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
• Ability to travel up to 10%
• Familiarity with instructional systems design (ISD) / ADDIE process.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with learning management systems and eLearning tools such as Adobe Captivate and/or Articulate 360.
• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a deadline driven environment.

Primary Level Salary Range: $75,800.00 - $113,800.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
