Job summary

Trek Bicycle Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Training & Repair Specialist to build employee capabilities through structured training, repair, and quality improvement. You’ll onboard new hires, maintain skill matrices, and document training across processes.

In this role you’ll perform product repairs and rework, diagnose defects, and support continuous improvement with Safety, Quality, and Productivity goals.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct onboarding and training for new employees on products, processes, technologies, tools, and standard work instructions.
  • Develop, maintain, and administer training programs to improve workforce skills and competency.
  • Manage and update employee skill matrices and training records.
  • Evaluate employee proficiency and recommend development opportunities.
  • Coordinate and deliver cross-training initiatives to increase workforce flexibility and operational coverage.
  • Develop and maintain training documentation, work instructions, and process guides.
  • Conduct follow-up evaluations to verify training effectiveness and retention.
  • Perform product repairs and rework activities on products and assemblies.
  • Diagnose product defects and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Perform buffing, polishing, and cosmetic restoration to meet product appearance standards.
  • Maintain repair logs, tracking systems, and related documentation.
  • Complete cosmetic touch-ups and finishing work to ensure products meet quality and appearance expectations.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Production teams to identify recurring issues and implement improvements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and employee development.
