The NYC School Construction Authority is seeking a Project Officer - I to manage and coordinate all phases of school construction projects. Responsibilities include ensuring quality and compliance in design and construction, as well as interface with contractors and stakeholders.

The Construction Management Department administers all capital projects performed in existing public school buildings and the construction of new schools. Construction Management will do so in a safe and efficient manner, working with the school and community to minimize the impact on the educational process while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
Project Officer - I is responsible for managing and coordinating personnel, budget, administration and operational activities involved in all phases of assigned school construction projects, from their initial conception through completion and opening of the facility.

Appointment Rate: $94,358; Incumbent Range: $108,512
Subject to the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, the appointment rate for any newly hired employee, or employees with fewer than two years of active City or SCA service, shall be 15% less than the applicable incumbent rate.
