Responsibilities

• Evaluate and recommend design approaches to meet production requirements; investigate solutions to product or process problems.
• Engineering HVAC&R equipment sizing, selection, and performance predictions; may include thermal and fluid analyses.
• Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems, and services; engage in supplier scouting.
• Ensure on-time project execution by collaborating with engineering service firms and managing on-site or remote resources.
• Develop product designs, manufacturing drawings, bills of material, and documentation for fabrication and delivery of prototypes.
• Review customer specs to develop compliant designs for product development proposals.
• Develop technical documentation, manuals, and procedures.
• Support testing, qualification, documentation and analysis of prototypes and products.

Summary

:Project/Mechanical Engineer position responsible for leading projects and developing a variety of HVAC&R product designs for both commercial and defense markets including heat exchangers, air conditioning, refrigeration, and air handling systems. This position will be responsible for leading development of new products, supporting legacy products; sizing and selecting components; supporting strategic initiatives; creating associated documentation; supporting product testing, qualification, and production; and associated facilities/lab expansion and upgrade projects
