APAC Central Inc., a CRH company, is seeking a Project/Materials Engineer to join our Arkansas team. You will tackle material science challenges, optimize mix designs, and help deliver high-quality aggregates, asphalt, and concrete on major regional projects.

We value FE exam candidates, strong communication, and a rigorous approach to safety and regulatory compliance as you work across plant, lab, and field settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• FE Exam preferred; licensure encouraged.
• Experience or internship in construction materials, mining, or quality control is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Tackle challenges related to material science, production techniques, and environmental sustainability.
• Optimize ready-mix concrete and asphalt from material selection to plant performance.
• Analyze project documentation for material compliance and craft submittals.
• Collaborate with Quality Control and Environmental Teams to meet safety and regulatory standards.
• Design and manage plant improvement initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution; advanced degrees or additional certifications are a plus.
• Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam preferred.
• Experience or internship in construction materials, mining, or quality control is a bonus—but we value passion and drive above all.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

Frequently required to climb, balance, and perform tasks involving physical agility.

Lift and move objects weighing up to 25-50 lbs as needed.

Work primarily outdoors, often in extreme weather and environmental conditions.

Comfortable working in all weather conditions; exposed to jobsite hazards such as moving machinery, high places, airborne particles, and loud environments.
