Job summary

Repsol Renewables Services North America (RRSNA) seeks a Project Management Intern to support planning, execution, and delivery of utility-scale wind, solar, and energy storage projects across the United States.   • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Job description

In the summer of 2021, Repsol expanded its renewables operations to the U.S. through the acquisition of a large U.S.-based PV solar and battery storage project developer. This transaction was Repsol's first foray into the U.S. renewables market. In 2024, Repsol made another strategic acquisition of ConnectGen from Quantum Capital Group. Repsol Renewables Services North America ("RRSNA") is targeting to own and operate 3-4 GW of renewable capacity in North America by 2027.

RRSNA is seeking a Project Management Intern to join our dynamic team and support the planning, execution, and delivery of utility-scale wind, solar, and energy storage projects across the United States. This internship offers exposure to multiple aspects of project management, including project controls, scheduling, stakeholder coordination, risk management, reporting, and project execution. If you are passionate about working in a global, inclusive, and collaborative team to provide innovative and sustainable solutions for RRSNA and the communities we serve, we want to hear from you. This is a twelve (12) week program starting May 17, 2027 – August 6, 2027, in Downtown Houston. Travel to project sites may be required based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Project Managers in the planning, execution, and monitoring of utility-scale renewable energy projects.
  • Assist with maintaining project schedules, budgets, action item logs, and project tracking tools.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Operations, Environmental, and Development teams to support project objectives.
  • Assist with gathering, validating, and analyzing project data to support key business decisions.
  • Prepare project status reports, presentations, dashboards, and executive summaries for leadership review.
  • Support project risk tracking, issue resolution, and mitigation planning activities.
  • Participate in project meetings and document meeting notes, action items, and follow-up activities.
  • Assist with document control and management of project records, contracts, permits, and project deliverables.
  • Monitor project milestones and support efforts to keep activities on schedule and within budget.
  • Support process improvement initiatives and help identify opportunities to enhance project execution and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to facilitate communication and project alignment.
  • Assist with project close-out activities, lessons learned documentation, and final reporting.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the requirement of a work/student visa.
  • Enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in project management and renewable energy development, construction, or operations.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently when appropriate.
