Job summary

Role Description

The Project Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Tempe, AZ. This role is responsible for overseeing structural steel and iron fabrication and erection projects from planning through completion, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements are met. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers; managing project timelines and deliverables; and monitoring material procurement, fabrication progress, and field activities. The Project Manager will review drawings and specifications, track RFIs and change orders, and ensure compliance with relevant certifications and safety standards. The role also involves resolving issues that arise during execution, preparing project status reports, and supporting continuous improvement in project workflows and communication.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and coordination (Project Management).
  • Candidates should possess experience in expediting materials and coordinating with vendors and internal teams (Expeditor, Expediting).
  • Candidates should possess skills in inspection and quality control to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and certification requirements (Inspection).
  • Candidates should possess logistics management skills to oversee material flow, deliveries, and site coordination (Logistics Management).
  • Relevant experience in structural steel or construction projects, with familiarity in fabrication and erection processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency with project management and productivity software Tekla, Bluebeam, ; experience with construction or fabrication management tools is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
