Job description

Job Title: Functional Consultant

We are seeking a skilled Functional Consultant to join our team for multiple implementation programs. The role involves both functional design and technical build responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

1. Understand business requirements and assess their accounting impacts.
2. Write SQL queries and possess thorough database knowledge, including Oracle/SQL Server, Teradata, and review SSIS code.
3. Lead data mapping exercises and guide the team in functional configurations.
4. Create design, specification, and mapping documents such as FSDs and functional mappings based on project requirements.
5. Perform impact assessments for system enhancements.
6. Review and reconcile revenue recognition journals and sub-ledger entries.
7. Interface source system data to Data Acquisition Platform (DAP)/Staging area.
8. Participate actively in onsite and offshore team meetings and status updates.
9. Preferably have experience in the Telecom industry.
10. Understand Agile methodology, work in Scrum teams, and use Agile JIRA tools.
11. Work on large projects following standard processes and procedures.
12. Communicate effectively with diverse audiences regarding engineering topics.
13. Translate business requirements into code, reports, and tools.
14. Demonstrate strong analytical skills, creativity, confidence, and flexibility.
15. Experience as an integration specialist for complex applications.
16. Support UAT and functional testing by translating customer requirements into technical specifications.
17. Understand reporting data requirements and ensure data accuracy.
