Gregory Construction is seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Project Manager with a strong background in wet utilities to support our growing operations throughout the Midwest.
Candidates located in Louisville, Kentucky, or the surrounding area are strongly preferred, as this location provides convenient access to our projects throughout the region.
This is a heavy civil construction role with a significant focus on wet utility installation. Direct experience managing water, sanitary sewer, and/or storm drainage construction is required.
We're looking for a Project Manager who understands the challenges of underground utility construction and can lead projects from preconstruction through closeout while maintaining control of safety, schedule, cost, quality, and client expectations.
As a Project Manager, you'll take ownership of heavy civil and underground utility projects from planning through completion.
Key responsibilities include:
Applicants without direct wet utility construction experience will not be considered for this position.
We're looking for someone who is more than a general construction Project Manager. You need to understand underground wet utility construction and what it takes to successfully put pipe in the ground.
The right candidate will understand how excavation conditions, elevations, grades, existing utilities, groundwater, material availability, inspections, testing, tie-ins, field production, and sequencing can impact a wet utility project.
You should be comfortable reviewing budgets and forecasts while also working directly with a Superintendent to solve a utility conflict, address production concerns, coordinate a tie-in, or keep an underground crew moving.
Most importantly, we're looking for a Project Manager who takes ownership of the project. When challenges arise, you work with the field team, client, and project partners to develop a solution and drive the work forward.
Gregory Construction is a faith-driven, purpose-led heavy civil contractor specializing in underground utilities, concrete, earthwork, and site development.
