Job summary

APAC Mississippi, Inc., a CRH company, is seeking a Project Manager (West) to lead asphalt paving projects from award through completion. You will work with operations teams, customers, and partners to deliver high-quality work safely, on schedule, and within budget.

You will also contribute to estimating activities when needed, and help shape the next generation of successful projects by driving accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across teams.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing construction projects in heavy civil, roadway, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, cost control and contract administration.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specs.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative leadership style with safety commitment.
  • Estimating experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead asphalt paving projects from award through completion.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and production plans.
  • Partner with Superintendents and Operations to meet safety, quality, schedule, profitability goals.
  • Monitor job costs, productivity, subcontractor performance and progress.
  • Coordinate materials, equipment, trucking, and subcontractor activities.
  • Review project quantities, pay estimates, invoicing, and financial performance.
  • Build relationships with customers, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Facilitate project meetings and identify solutions to keep projects moving forward.

You'll lead projects from award through completion, working closely with operations teams, customers, and business partners to deliver high-quality work safely, on schedule, and within budget. In addition to managing project execution, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to estimating efforts when business needs arise, helping shape the next generation of successful projects.

What You'll Do
Lead Project Execution
  • Manage asphalt paving projects from award through completion.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and production plans.
  • Partner with Superintendents and Operations leaders to ensure projects meet safety, quality, schedule, and profitability goals.
  • Monitor job costs, productivity, subcontractor performance, and overall project progress.

As workload and business needs allow, you may also support estimating activities, including:

  • Reviewing plans, specifications, and bid documents.
  • Performing quantity takeoffs and analyzing project scope.
  • Soliciting and evaluating quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Collaborating with operations and leadership teams to develop competitive bids.
  • Assisting with project handoffs to ensure a seamless transition from estimating to construction.
