Job summary

Trina Solar is seeking a Project Manager for EU Utility Storage projects in Italy or Germany. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, suppliers, and contractors to drive commissioning and project delivery.

Responsibilities include planning commissioning, contract negotiations, and seamless handover to O&M, while ensuring H&S compliance and adherence to electrical standards. English and German fluency required.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or relevant engineering qualification.
• Experience managing electrical project and commissioning in Solar PV/BESS.
• Comply with safety regulations (CDM) in operations.
• Supervise site activities with multiple contractors.
• Familiar with electrical standards and regulations.
• Willing to travel to support projects.
• Fluent English and German; additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage project and commissioning works of energy storage projects in Europe with internal teams, suppliers, and contractors.
• Develop and execute commissioning plans to support project delivery.
• Negotiate contracts with customers regarding project delivery terms.
• Lead to commercial operations handover to O&M for each project.
• Ensure safety compliance with H&S regulations and company policies.
• Create testing protocols based on market rules and DNO requirements.
• Produce progress reports and project risk matrices.

We are currently looking for a Project Manager to join our EU Utility Storage Project Management Team in Italy or Germany.

Responsibilities:

• Manage project and commissioning works of Trina’s energy storage projects in the Europe cooperating with internal teams, suppliers and contractors
• Support Trina’s project execution efforts by developing and executing commissioning plans
• Manage and negotiate contracts with customers in terms of project delivery clause
• Lead project effort to achieve commercial operations, and handover from delivery/construction team to the O&M team for each project
• Comply with company policies, ensuring supplier and contractors follow up H&S regulations
• Develop and execute testing protocols based on market rules, DNO requirements and contractual obligations
• Produce project progress reports and project‘s risk matrix

Requirements:

• Suitable engineering degree or qualifications
• Related experience in managing project and commissioning work of electrical equipment in the context of Solar PV and/or Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects or other renewable energy projects.
• Must have experience on adhering to safety regulations (CDM) in an operational setting
• Strong experience supervising site activities amongst different contractors
• Familiar with related electrical standards, Regulations and Legislation
• Ability to adapt to dynamic conditions and stay focused/execute on goals under tight deadlines
• Highly developed interpersonal skills with ability to interface with multiple parties (contractors, suppliers, client representatives) CSCS card holder or eq.
• Excellent MS Office capabilities, SCADA and MODBUS experience will be a plus
• Must be willing and able to travel in support of existing & new Energy Storage fleet
• Passion for your work, strong communication skills, a flexible and positive attitude, structured and dedicated way of working
• Languages: Fluent English and German any other addition language will be a plus
