This role requires hands‑on estimating and project management experience specifically within heavy civil, excavation, and underground utilities. Candidates without relevant construction experience in these areas will not be considered.

Job Description
  • Identify project opportunities and prepare accurate, timely estimates for heavy civil, excavating, and underground utility work
  • Manage multiple active projects while maintaining quality, safety, schedules, and profitability
  • Coordinate crews, equipment, and resources to meet customer deadlines
  • Monitor labor, equipment, and accounts payable costs to ensure accurate job costing
  • Communicate clearly with foremen and field crews to set expectations and drive accountability
  • Respond to customer‑driven scope changes and document adjustments to ensure proper compensation
  • Partner with finance to support timely billing, vendor payments, and project closeouts
  • Build strong working relationships with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and public entities
  • Balance office responsibilities with regular field engagement to stay connected to project realities
  • Proactively identify process improvements and contribute to operational efficiency
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of estimating and project management experience in heavy civil, excavation, or underground utilities
  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans, surveys, and specifications
  • Solid math skills related to estimating, job costing, and project analysis
  • Field experience operating or working around heavy equipment preferred
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field is a plus, not required
