Job summary

Aldridge Electric in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a Project Manager to lead transportation projects, ensuring safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery. You will collaborate with the project team, mentor direct reports, and manage safety, planning, scheduling, financials, and execution on assigned scopes.

The role requires a Civil/Electrical/Construction Management background, 5 years of relevant experience, and strong communication. Travel to job sites is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management or related field
  • 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Aptitude to anticipate problems, critical issues, and opportunities and creatively problem solve
  • Ability to travel to job sites
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management and prioritization, meeting deadlines
  • Adaptable and willing to embrace new challenges
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace preferred

Responsibilities

  • Champion a strong safety culture on assigned projects through proactive leadership and vigilance in identifying and addressing potential safety issues
  • Provide ongoing mentorship and training to direct reports
  • Host regular performance conversations to set goals, provide feedback, and support the development of direct reports
  • Manage all facets of assigned projects including safety, planning, scheduling, financials, and project execution
  • Monitor project health using Aldridge’s project management tools
  • Enact change when required
  • Own financial tracking and reporting of assigned projects or scopes
  • Monitor billings and cash flow to ensure a positive cash position
  • Proactively manage subcontractors and vendors, including safety, work planning, scheduling, and payments
  • Act as a point of contact for communication with the customer on the project
  • Ensure plans to meet all contractual requirements for assigned projects
  • Cultivate strong working relationships and promote teamwork with Aldridge and partners
  • Regularly visit the project site for planning, progress monitoring, and relationship development
  • Maintain accurate, current, and complete records for all assigned projects

Project Manager

What we are looking for:
Aldridge is seeking a Project Manager to join our dynamic and energetic Transportationteam supporting work in Des Plaines, IL. This role will work collaboratively with the projectteam to ensure that a quality project is produced safely, on time, and within budget.

What you’ll do:

  • Champion a strong safety culture on assigned projects through proactiveleadership and vigilance in identifying and addressing potential safety issues.
  • Provide ongoing mentorship and training to direct reports.
  • Host regular performance conversations to set goals, provide feedback, andsupport the development of direct reports.
  • Using Aldridge’s standard processes and guidelines, manage all facets of assignedprojects or assigned project scopes including safety, planning, scheduling, financials,and project execution.
  • Monitor project health using Aldridge’s project management tools.
  • Enact change when required.
  • Manage projects in accordance with Aldridge’s contract with the customer.
  • Own the financial tracking and reporting of assigned projects or assigned projectscopes.
  • Monitor billings and cash flow to ensure a positive cash position on all projects.

Who you are:

What we offer:The annual base pay for this role is between $85,000 - $150,000. The actual pay isdependent upon many factors, including: location, work experience, education, training,transferable skills, business needs, and market conditions.
