Hitachi Energy USA Inc. is seeking a Project/Program Manager to lead transformer service projects in the United States.

Qualifications

  • Work authorization to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or related field, or an associate degree with 7+ years in transformer/substation field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in project management focusing on transformer services or heavy industrial equipment.
  • Experience delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Understanding of transformer technology, maintenance, and repair processes preferred.
  • Proficiency with project management software including MS Project or Primavera P6.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full lifecycle of transformer service projects from initiation through closure.
  • Develop project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineers, technicians, subcontractors, and third-party contractors.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, maintaining communication and managing expectations throughout project execution.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues while developing contingency plans.
  • Monitor project progress, track KPIs, and provide regular updates to management.
  • Manage project budgets, approve expenditures, and support cost-effective project delivery.
  • Support post-project reviews and continuous improvement of project management processes and tools within the Services Division.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field, or an associate degree with more than seven years of experience in the transformer or substation field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in project management with a focus on transformer services or heavy industrial equipment.
  • Experience delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Understanding of transformer technology, maintenance, and repair processes preferred.
  • Proficiency with project management software, including MS Project or Primavera P6.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
